Yael Avnaim has joined BandOne as our first-ever Director of Strategic Communications.
Yael brings a deep background in media, public relations, higher education, and public service, with experience in both Israel and the U.S.
Yael earned her Ph.D. in Communication this year from Texas A&M University, where she taught classes in social media strategy and storytelling. She was president of A&M’s Communication Graduate Student Association, where she played a central role in campus conversations about some of the most pressing issues facing higher education today. Her dissertation examined how Instagram photos impact tourism and community life in Ireland, showcasing her talent for storytelling and connecting culture, communication, and impact.
Most importantly, Yael is driven by the same values that shape our work at BandOne: advancing higher ed, strengthening purpose-driven organizations, combating antisemitism, and engaging with policies that matter. She will help us serve our partners, collaborators, and clients even more effectively.
